Ruritan Clubhouse Renovation



The Deep Creek Ruritan Club recently held an open house to celebrate the completion of badly needed repairs and extensive renovations to the clubhouse. The Log Cabin, as the clubhouse is called, was originally built and opened in 1947. The Log Cabin is also used by the Ruritans to support many local civic and community organizations and projects to include the Chesapeake City Police and Fire Departments, Chesapeake Emergency Response Team (CERT), Hugo Owens Middle School and Deep Creek High School Ruriteen Clubs, Veterans Groups, Meals on Wheels, the elderly and those with special needs, churches and countless private individuals through clubhouse rentals and donations.

The Deep Creek Ruritan Club was established in 1947. The Log Cabin clubhouse is in the heart of Deep Creek. The Ruritan club is part of a national organization dedicated to improving communities and building a better America through fellowship, goodwill, and community service.
